Social Networking is no longer a fad but already a lifestyle. Many people are now online, looking for something to buy, getting acquainted with friends, or just surfing.

One thing people love doing online is browsing photos of friends, relative and friends of friends. It has a very warm feeling to see a photo of you, your family and your friends, but a horrifying feeling if they see bad photos on themselves from a friends timeline. Though your friend may not have any bad intention with it, just that he/she looks good on that photo (what do you expect).

Well as a friend, you should not only post good photos of yourself but also good photos of your friend as well. Photos that will not offend them or humiliate them in-front of others. This scenario will be a form of cyber-bullying.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t know any post-processing software, all you need to do is post photos that you and your friends will enjoy. Or learn simple post processing techniques like cropping and red-eye reduction.

Being a Man is Hard work. We need to be this and that all the time. We need to upheld a standard that we ourselves did not create, but everyone expect us to perform:

be a good Father
be a better Husband
be a best Friend
be Respectful
be a Gentleman

and those are just the peak of the iceberg.

That’s why we MEN need to have a time to ourselves and our friends to just hang-out. We need to have a time to let our shoulders down, let loose, do nothing, expect nothing and just be a man.

WHY? You ask why we need to have a time for ourselves or with our friends and WHY we can’t do it at home or with you (wife/partner/girlfriend).

1. because, women won’t stop asking WHY

We MEN are not that complicated to understand. MEN are direct to the point. We can answer question by YES or NO and don’t need an explanation to WHY it is. We try not complicate things. So asking as WHY is complicating things. When we try to answer your WHY question, we tend to over thinks things which complicate it. Will it her feelings? Will telling the truth get me out of the hook? Whats the question again?

Which always turns bad for us. So if you want us to be honest and I mean really honest with you, don’t ask us WHY for this will only make us LIE.

2. because with our buddies, there are no expectation

We can spend 4 hour with our friends without speaking a single word but still have a best day. We can bent out our frustration and dreams without getting any criticism that it’s to simple or to big.

3. because we can talk nonsense but we still make sense

not really sure how to explain this, but it happens.

4. just BECAUSE, ‘nough said.

I remember my Father telling me to use a belt so that my pants won’t fall down. But for a 7 yrs. old kid, putting a belt is a hard thing to do.

Sliding the belt around your waist to all the belt-loops. The one on the back is the dreaded one of all, it’s really hard to slide it to the back belt-loop. Then when you have securely slide it all the way back to the front then there is the prong. The small piece of metal part of the basic square buckle that you slid on the hole of the belt to lock it in place. I always have a loose belt.

I always think why do we need belt when we can get a pants that is fitted correctly.

Then I grew up and knew better. A belt is the only accessory a man needs. It is not only a piece of leather that holds your pants up (true purpose), but it a symbol of how manly you are (thinking of Batman’s utility belt).

Types of Belt A Man Needs To Have

Casual Belt

Casual Belts are for all any day no special occasion belts. They are mostly made from synthetic leather with a 1 1/2 inch in width.

Usually have a square buckles and prong to secure it.

This kind of belt usually goes best with jeans and shorts.

Formal Belt

Formal Belt are all about the leather and the buckles. A plain, unfussy, slim, leather belt with a small buckle will be best suited for formal occasion. The usual width for a men’s formal belt is about an inch.

Color will always depend on your shoes. Black will go with black, white with white, and brown with brown. Outside these three color will be a casual belt.

Utility Belt

The Utility Belt or what most women call it as the manly belt.

Used for hard work, for it hold all the utilities, equipment, and gadget a man would need to accomplish a job. the best example of this is BATMAN belt.

But we all see this on a carpenters waist, a utility man on fixing your phone line, or a jogger with his water jug safely secure in his jogging belt.

Whatever your preference you have in choosing a belt, just make sure that it fits you well.

Yesterday was the first day for the ICC sticker Implementation (RA 10054) for all motorcycle helmets nationwide.

So don’t be surprise to see a bunch of check points all over the metro. This is a way how the Government greets you a Happy New Year.

For me, I bought a new helmet so that I wont be forced to fall in line and only to told that “We are very sorry but all the stickers has been given away. Maybe next time.”

The funny thing about this law is that, the only thing that is required is the damn ICC sticker. I think they want us to think that having a sticker will keep us safe from accident. Then why was a group of Motorcycle rider with high-end helmet (helmets that every motorcycle riders wish they can afford for they are used by professionals) was not allowed to register their helmets. The reason was that their brand was not on their list.

Last year about August (if I’m not mistaken) a lot of riders rushed their way to any nearby DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) offices to register their helmet for a damn ICC sticker. The frenzy caused a lot of people out of their work, cause traffic and for some ended up on the nearby LTO office for their bike were towed.

The funny thing about this new LAW was that it was announced the end of June last year, but non of the rider last August knew about it.

I mean, if this will be a requirement why didn’t DTI coordinated with every LTO offices and had their booth situated there. So that every rider can register their helmet when they are registering their motorcycle. A win-win scenario in my book.

For those who will be caught not wearing helmets with (registered) ICC stickers will be fine of P1,500 for the first offense and confiscation of their driver’s license. Violators will pay P3,000 for the second offense. Third-time violators will pay P5,000 and P10,000 plus their driver’s license will be confiscated for the fourth and succeeding offenses.

WOW! Is the only thing I can think of. Well the good news is that MMDA (not sure if it is updated) will only fine you PHP150 for not wearing a helmet.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10054 :Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009

Then it happen! You’re car or motorcycle (in my case) won’t start because it’s flooded (not by rain pour).

You can actually verify it because the smell of gasoline will be very distinct.

This happen to me last week. I tried a couple of time pushing the start button (which is a no – no) and tried kick starting it with no success.

How does your bike become flooded

The only scenario that your bike become flooded is because someone played with your bike turned the throttle again and again. Which secreted gasoline to your carburetor. With no combustion happening the gasoline just accumulated and in turn flooded the engine, which then soaked the spark plug. A wet spark plug will not produce spark which will not burn and produce combustion in your engine.

How do you fix a flooded motorcycle

It’s really easy to fix a flooded motorcycle, that is if you have time and are ready to be dirty?

1. wait till the gasoline in the internal part of the engine evaporate

2. replace the spark plug

What you will need

Spark Plug (preferably a new one)

spark plug wrench

dry rags

1. remove any obstacle that can block you when removing the spark plug. I have a Suzuki Raider 150 so I remove the right side flap so that I can reach the spark plug cable;

2. remove the spark plug cable, use your screw driver if necessary;

3. place the spark plug wrench and carefully unscrew it;

4. don’t place the new spark plug just yet, let the gasoline evaporate for a while;

5. place the new/replacement spark plug in, make sure to secure it properly and then place the spark plug cable back and then try to re-start the motorcycle.

note: don’t place back the flap just yet, test it first so that if it doesn’t start you don’t have to remove it again

If doesn’t on your bike then re-evaluate. Do you have electricity?

Not sure why, but what would a 10 year old boy would think. TOYS!

We went to the fish section and then to the meat section of our local market. She taught me how to spot good fish and how a fresh meat/pork looks like. Not really focusing on why my mother was teaching me this (still focus on the TOYS). Then after doing the market stuff, we went home (no TOYS) but not disappointed (not really sure why) but I was happy. It was a bonding moment I had with my mother. A time I will remember and cherish.

This Christmas is the a for my Family, for this year we will be spending it without a mother to cook for us, remind us of our gifts buying, preparing a small feast for us and giving us that magical smile that always lifts our spirits higher.

That’s why I ha a hard time writing this post. But I’m glad that Kraft Eden Cheese is giving tribute to Mother’s in this blessed occasion to the most worthiest of person in everybody’s lives, our MOTHERS’.

Eden Cheese stands for making family moments more special. Eden does this by enhancing moms’ dishes and making them more delicious. The brand aims to help moms in their role as the “makers” of Christmas. When there’s special and delicious food, mom gets to create that special family bonding, which is a sight that is especially dear to her.

2. Why does Eden want to make Christmas special?

Christmas is one of the most anticipated holidays for Filipinos. With its long heritage of making Filipino lives more delicious since 1981, Eden wants to help make this most awaited season more memorable for moms and their families.

3. What is the purpose of Eden’s Christmas Campaign?

Eden makes dishes, and especially Christmas Noche Buena dishes more delicious with its creamy taste. Apart from making the celebrations more malinamnam, Eden wants to give recognition to the people who cook the dishes and who really make Christmas happen: Moms. Through our initiatives for TV and digital media, we aim to give thanks to moms for the roles they play in making Christmas more special for everyone.

4. Who is the Eden mom?

The Eden mom is a nurturing mom. She is all about family enjoyment. That is why many of her activities revolve around her family. She always wants to make sure her family is well taken care of. And when it comes to food, she is no different. In fact, she finds food preparation highly important as she considers this an expression of her love.

5. What is Eden Sarap ng Pasko?

Eden Sarap ng Pasko is the brand’s traditional Christmas campaign. Year on year, Eden engages its consumers and makes their Christmas experience more special through campaigns that are especially relevant and that celebrate the season of giving.

This year, the brand gives recognition to the key person behind every Christmas. This has always been the most anticipated time of the year and no one takes extra effort to make this festive and worth spending with the family than moms. As a brand that understands Moms, Eden knows just how important it is to make every Christmas special for the family. From wrapping gifts to decorating the entire house, to cooking; it’s mom who does everything.

To show appreciation, Eden would like to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts of every Mom in making her family’s Christmas memorable through her dishes. Hence, our campaign Eden Sarap ng Pasko: Dahil Sa Iyo, Ma.
