Art MADE Public at SM Center Angono

20160223_131546Started in 1984 to engage the youth in more meaningful activity. A lot have change for the past 32 years but one thing have stayed the same, the dedication in recognizing excellence in in Filipino Art and Design.

Since then MADE have trvelled all over the nation showcasing the previous winners and introducing to the locals the value and oppotunity with the differenc arts. Last February 23, the MADE group have travels and stayed in the Art Capital of Philippines – Angono, Rizal for a week.

Now on its 4th year, the “Art MADE Public” of the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. aims to heighten public appreciation for the arts at the same time promote Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (MADE) to young Filipino artists and designers to join its recognition programs. Art exhibitions and art lectures has been held nationwide in various cultural institutions, the academe, including commercial establishments like SM Supermalls.

The locals of Angono had the opportunity to view the reproduced art pieces by contemporary Filipino artists who are MADE awardees such as Antipolo natives Reynaldo Samson, Antonio Leaño. Also on exhibit are the works of Elmer Borlongan, Melvin Culaba,Lynyrd Paras and a lot more.
