Last Feb. 19, my friends and I went to Tanay, Rizal on our motorcycle for a road trip.
It was a great trip. Another reason I want to go there was to try the Bulalo of Tanay, Rizal.
I have been hearing from bikers and cyclist alike that the bulalo at Tanay was one of the best they have ever tasted.
They it was at Bugarin a town on Pililla, Rizal. It was another 30 mins ride from Daranak Falls.
The place was Talisay Restaurant and Bulaluhan. It was an ordinary carinderia on the side of the road. So we didn’t waste our time and order two bowl of their bulalo. So that I can see what all the fuzz is about.
I have tasted some good bulalo before. The one that tops it all is Leslie’s Bulalo at Tagaytay.
We were server with 6 order of rice, two bottle of soda and two bowl of beef bulalo. It look good and smells good too. But will it come close to the hype I’m been hearing about.
The soup was hot, delicious and the beef was very tender. Though it could use some more veggies for presentation and added taste.
Final verdict. It was not bad but it was a disappointment to all the good stuff I was hearing.
All I can say is that all the bikers and riders that had recommended it was truly hungry, and everything is good to a hungry man.
But I can give the dish one thing, it has a very distinct taste that was really good.
