Last December the whole Family (me and the 3 kids) went to Singapore for Christmas. The following day we get them all their own ez-link cards, so that we can all have a hassle free time when travelling.
The ez-link card is a one-stop card for Singapore’s basic bus services* and rail services (MRT and LRT). All you need to do is to top-up in any top-up machines or TransitLink Ticket Offices and Passenger Service Counters located within the MRT station.
Once your loaded up, you can now travel with ease. No need to have your coins ready when riding the bus or the MRT. Just place your card on the scanner then your all set to go.
For those planning to go to Singapore, there is a new card for tourist. Its the Singapore Tourist Pass, its works the same like the regular ez-link card but with perks especially catered for the traveler in us.
The Singapore Tourist Pass offers tourists unlimited rides on Singapore’s public transport system (MRT, LRT and basic bus services). Though it excludes Express, Fast Forward, Night Rider, Night Owl, Chinatown Direct and other premium and niche bus services. The Pass also comes with a special packaged for tourist who purchase the Pass.
It comes in two designs: a day scene or a night scene of the Singapore Central Business District skyline. All tourists are allowed to purchase The Singapore Tourist Pass. All they have to do is produce the White Disembarkation Card and their passport.
The Singapore Tourist Pass is available at an introductory price of S$8 per day and comes with 3 options of a 1-Day, 2-Day or 3-Day pass.
Passes bought or issued in Singapore at authorised sales counters come with a rental deposit of S$10 which is refundable, so long as the card is returned within 5 days of issuance.
So if your planning or already at Singapore, grab one of either the ez-link or the new Singapore Tourist Pass for a more convenient stay.
