Last week when I went to the gym. The owner offered me their new Soya milk drink. It was good, it tasted like a liquefied taho (A favorite comfort food by Filipinos’ and an equivalent of the Indonesian and Malaysian dish Tahu). So I got thinking is Soya really good for the health, so did some digging.
I found out that soya milk came from soya bean and are called in many ways, such as Soy milk, soybean milk, or soy juice and also referred as soy drink/beverage. It contains protein content same as those of regular dairy milk. It also has little saturated fat with no cholesterol. It’s a good source of lecithin that protects cells from oxidation, and helps make up the protective sheaths surrounding the brain. And vitamin E is helpful in maintaining healthy skin.
In some places its a good replacement for cows milk for those lactose intolerant. Though many have say that taking soya milk has improve their health. But there is still a lot to be learned.
