Samsung G810 is a Symbian S60 smart phone and a very good camera, with a lot of other advanced features. With a 5 mega pixel, auto focus feature, 3x optical zoom, image stabilization, facial recognition and image editor. This truly a cool camera that anyone would wish to have is special occasion. The good news is it’s also a phone.
The Camera is simply turned on by sliding the lens cover; it will take about 5 seconds before its ready, though the camera is convenient to use, the lens cover 0pens up so easily that even putting it on my pocket will turn the camera on.
The zoom function is easily access by adjusting the volume control of the phone, zooming to 3x is a breeze. The shutter button is sensitive and perfectly located.
Camera shortcut function is also incorporated in the navigation keys for easy settings. The face recognition is an advance feature in the G810, which detects the important area for portrait photos with almost 100% accuracy.<
Navigating the Samsung G810 is not as easy as I expected. Though the keyboard is pretty large, the keys are tight and close to each other but I have no problem in texting. I may say that the call and cancel button is not a very good idea. The menu button is so confusing, I would always think of it as the call button, so as the player button.
The Samsung G810 has a standard micro SD memory slot, a 3.5 mm audio jack which makes looking for accessories a lot easier and a Micro USB port for easy file transfer and USB charging. WiFi and Bluetooth are also included in the Samsung G810 advance feature.
In conclusion, I would say that the Samsung G810 is a good addition to the Samsung mobile phone arsenal. With a powerful built-in camera and a 3x optical zoom and face recognition feature that set it apart with its counterpart. With a 8 GB of built-in memory and a unique design, the Samsung G810 is truly on top.
